Greyhounds in Gettysburg®
Greyhounds in Gettysburg®, or GiG as it is affectionately called, is a four day annual event full of vendor shopping, educational seminars, social activities, and more! Thanks to the dedication of countless volunteers, GiG has become the largest greyhound reunion in the country with more than 1,000 sighthounds and their people arriving in historic Gettysburg the last weekend of April from all over the globe.
Designed to raise awareness and support greyhound adoption efforts, all proceeds from the event benefit greyhound adoption. No member of the planning committee or any volunteer receives any compensation.
Greyhounds in Gettysburg® was started in 1998. In 2003, Triangle Greyhound Society took over and created the event we know today. In 2013, the event was handed over to a local Pennsylvania adoption group, Nittany Greyhounds, where the event moved indoors and became even bigger.
