Greyhounds in Gettysburg
Greyhounds in Gettysburg, or GiG as it is affectionately called, started in 1998. In 2003, Triangle Greyhound Society took over and created the event we know today. In 2013, the event was handed over to a local Pennsylvania adoption group, Nittany Greyhounds, where the event moved indoors and made bigger than before.
GiG relies on the help of countless volunteers. Through their dedication to greyhound adoption and awareness, GiG has become the largest greyhound reunion in the country! In 2015, more than 1,000 people attended with more than 1,000 sighthounds from all around the country!
100% of the proceeds from GiG benefit greyhound adoption and education efforts. No member of the planning committee or Nittany Greyhounds organization receives any compensation.
