Greyhounds in Gettysburg
Greyhounds in Gettysburg 2013 is over!
Watch a couple of videos created especially for GiG: GiG 2013 Time Lapse
It took so long to plan and seemed to go by so fast (click here to see the time-lapse video of the inside of the Expo Hall). We really want to thank everyone who had a role to play in making this year such a success.

TEAM GIG, comprised of Coordinator Toni Duchi, Nittany President Ellen Aschenbrenner, Vice-President Penny Ruggieri, Financial Officer Latisha Stefanko, and Board Members Tina Burns and Steve Wagner, all worked hard to bring this event to life. There were dozens of other volunteers who pitched in to help, and several adoption groups also donated their time -- Fast Friends, Keystone Greyhounds, Forever Greyhounds, Gods Greyts, Personalized Greyhounds, Blue Ridge Greyhounds, Triangle Greyhound Society, Grapehounds Wine Tour (Larry Bowersox), and Pocono Greyhounds. Thanks so much to everyone who worked so well together to make this a great GIG!
We are beginning to work on GIG 2014! The dates will be April 24-27, 2014, and we will again be indoors at the Allstar Expo and Family Fun Center. We have also booked 200 rooms at the Eisenhower Hotel, and notwithstanding the issues this year, they promise to do better for us next year. Not only that, but until June 1, 2013, the room rate at the Eisenhower will be an astounding $77/night! We will have blocks of rooms at other hotels in the area as well, so stay tuned for more information about that.
We will begin putting up information, both here and on our Facebook page, just as soon as we get things finalized. If you haven't liked our Greyhounds in Gettysburg Facebook page yet, don't forget to do that. Lots of our quick announcements are made there first. We will also continue our regular e-newsletters, so if you are not on that list but would like to be, e-mail us at add you to our list.
Again, thank you all for coming this year, and particularly thank you to those who pre-registered for the event. It is these registrations that give us our numbers and our leverage with venues for good rates. Please consider registering next year too. We appreciate it!
